When investigating the circumstances surrounding an
automobile accident, there are often as many versions
of what took place, as there are individuals involved
in or viewing the events. To sort out the facts,
developing and reconstructing the accident's occurrence
is necessary.
Witnesses or other pertinent individuals are located
and statementized and police representatives are interviewed.
Determination of the possession of automobile insurance
is made. Photographs, diagrams, and measurements
of physical damages and accident scenes are obtained.
Special considerations such as pedestrian involvement,
blood alcohol levels, and highway design are analyzed
as contributing factors.
